I had the absolute HONOUR of being at the birth of my brand new niece. We first got the call at 5am that Mums waters had broken, so we packed up the car and did a mad dash (2.5 hours) to try and get there on time. And I did…………….JUST. I got to the hospital just after 8.25am, and Scarlet Rose was born at 8.35am. She weighed a hearty 3.9kgs, and was 52 cms long. I was honoured to be able to cut her umbilical cord. She is just perfect in every single way, not that I am at all biased!
