Gold Coast Workshop – Gympie & Brisbane Photographer

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a 4 day photography workshop down at the Gold Coast. The location and host was amazing, the company was fantastic and the models were nothing short of amazing. I went home every night, with a head full of information and lots of new things to think about.

Here are a few (actually a lot) of images from the 4 days….

Brisbane Maternity Photographer | Kiri

What a fun session this one was. The beautiful Kiri and David were up for anything that I threw at them, and I don’t think I have laughed so much during a shoot for a long time! With a little bit of prodding, David let slip that Kiri has had chocolate and ice cream cravings, so of course we just had to pull out the ice cream and chocolates for some photos, and just tease her a little bit with them. (I did let her have the chocolates though – so i didn’t tease too much!) Pity I didn’t have any jalapenos or olives in the house, which have been her main cravings!

Thanks for stopping by this morning K & D. I had a fantastic time, and I can’t wait to meet your beautiful little boy in a few weeks!

Brisbane Maternity Photographer | Photographing a photographer

I had the absolute pleasure of spending the afternoon at the park with Anneke from Tummy to Toddler Photography and her gorgeous family. They oozed so much love and happiness, if was awesome! I was SOOOOO nervous about meeting her, let alone photographing her, that I don’t think I slept for the entire week before the shoot!

It was wonderful meeting you all Anneke, and I look forward to doing it again soon.

Gympie Birth Photographer – Introducing Emily

My best friend had asked me to be at the birth of her baby, and i jumped at the opportunity. There is nothing more amazing then seeing a child being welcomed into the world. We knew it was going to be a fast labour, so when I got the phone call at 6am that it was go time, we jumped in the car and started on the 2 and a half hour drive straight away. What we weren’t counting on, was how fast the actual labour was going to be. Emily arrived in about 2 hours from start to finish, meaning I missed the birth. Luckily Naomi had called her fabulous Aunty to come and help her out with the kids because she didn’t think that I would make it in time. She was right! Emily was born about an hour after my phone call, and she is so perfect in every way. Not that I am biased, she is my niece after all!

Meet Emily…..

This one would have to be my favourite one of the morning………..

Big sister’s first cuddle………..

Claire, the amazing midwife who I can’t thank enough for looking out for this precious family and bringing their babies safely into this world……….

And a big thanks from Dad too……….

And you just can’t forget the proud Aunty!

A massive thank you to Nay and Dave for allowing me to be there in those special moments after Emily entered the world.
