Photo Synergy bio picture

Welcome

Operated by a husband and wife team, Darren and Lauren Smith, Photo Synergy officially commenced operation in 2008, although their passion for photography commenced long before this.

In 2001, with the impending birth of Lachlan, we were determined to capture all his precious moments so they could never be forgotten. With the birth of Luke 18 months later, we seemed to have a constant stream of photos that always needed to be taken.

The real turning point came in April 2006, when our precious baby boy Benjamin was born sleeping. The loss of our son made us realise just how important our photos are, as they are now the only memories we have of our baby boy.

Our daughter Madison was born in July 2007and has provided us with a constant source of joy, and photographs.

By opening our business to you, we are hoping to be able to capture those special moments of your pregnancy, birth, babies, children, weddings and events. We are dedicated to making your experience with us as enjoyable and easy as possible.

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” Aaron Siskind

Brisbane Newborn Photographer – Baby Blake

It sure is the week for returning clients and I’m LOVING it! This is the 3rd time I have photographed this growing little family, and I must say that all three boys are simple delightful. I’ve seen Master nearly 4 come out of his shell, and now loves having a conversation with you. He has the best manners ever! Master 18 months has the most infectious little giggle I have ever heard, and you can’t help but to smile whenever you hear it! Brand new baby brother is no exception on the cuteness factor, and is soooo alert for 3 weeks old! He spent most of our session gazing around the room, and taking in all his surroundings, only stopping for a very short catnap!

Thanks for dropping by again M. Enjoy your photos!

Brisbane Photographer – Master William’s Cake Smash

I can hardly believe that it was just over 12 months ago that I was photographing Mummy K’s Gorgeous baby belly, and shortly after Master W’s newborn Pics. I love photographing returning clients, and Master William and his gorgeous family are certainly one of my favourites!

Master Will’s 1st birthday is in 2 short weeks, so to celebrate Mummy decided to do a cake smash. HE LOVED IT! He needed no encouragement what-so-ever to get right in there and smash it all to pieces, and he even resorted to crawling through it, just to make sure it was well and truly smashed!

The cake was the cutest cake ever! See for yourself! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek K & D!

Gold Coast Workshop – Gympie & Brisbane Photographer

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of attending a 4 day photography workshop down at the Gold Coast. The location and host was amazing, the company was fantastic and the models were nothing short of amazing. I went home every night, with a head full of information and lots of new things to think about.

Here are a few (actually a lot) of images from the 4 days….

Gympie/Rainbow Beach Wedding Photographer| B & L Wedding

The weather had been so indecisive in the lead up to this beautiful beach wedding. Saturday we woke to heavy clouds and LOTS of showers, and at 5pm, it wasn’t a great deal better. I was beginning to think that the Bride and Groom would have to change to their “wet weather backup”. Turns out though the weather gods were looking down on them, and stopped the showers for just long enough that B & L could have their wedding at the beach. They had travelled all the way from Mt Isa, to celebrate their special day on the beach, and that is just what they did!

A small and intimate ceremony was simply divine, standing on top of the cliffs looking over the ocean. Perfection.

Enjoy your photos B & L.

Brisbane Photographer | January Photo-A-Day Week 4

Day 22: Spaghetti kiss anyone?

Day 23: Izzy waiting ever so patiently for Whit to take her to the park to play with all the other dogs.

Day 24: It’s that time again. First day back at school. Year 2 and 4. Can’t believe they are that big already!

Day 25: 8:25am and she is still asleep. We were about to walk out the door to school, and she wasn’t waking up for anything. I LOVE sleeping photos of her, because i swear to god this kid doesn’t really sleep ever, day OR night

Day 26: Had a rough day, so was thrilled to be finally in bed watching the new episode of my husband. This guy is seriously HOT

Day 27: Lachlan playing Wii Baseball. Gotta love the Wii!

Day 28: Lachlan helping Pooks read his library book.

Day 29: Showing Daddy how much she has learnt swimming. (and yes, Darren really was that sunburnt – crazy man)

Day 30: Caramel fudge. MMMMM yummmmm. You jealous mum?

Day 31: The last day :( Lachlan finally got his plate for his teeth today, to push one of his teeth out. He was a little worried about getting it I think, and is nervous about having to wear it to school tomorrow, but he seems to be settling in with it quite well. He was also very pleased that it was orange, and not pink like some people were trying to tell him LOL
